Teacher Direct Grant Application Is Now Open

The Teacher Direct Grant application process is open for the 2024-2025 school year.

The South Pasadena Educational Foundation offers the Teacher Direct Grant Program to encourage enhancing and enriching educational activities to develop and cultivate student achievement. These grants help fund innovative activities that have a far-reaching effect. The Teacher Direct Grant Program furthers SPEF’s mission to support educational excellence in the public schools of South Pasadena through the operation of enrichment programs.

Once again the SPEF Board has decided to award $100,000 in grants again this year. Teachers, counselors, and staff members can receive up to $2,500 per individual or $6,000 for a joint application across a grade level,  to try out new curriculum, equipment, or techniques.

Fall Fund Drive

A gift to SPEF will benefit students at all five South Pasadena public schools. SPEF’s annual fall fund drive, happening again this year, is a convenient way for you to help all students in the school district.

In October, every family in the district will receive a fundraising phone call, unless you have already given, and a follow-up email from a SPEF volunteer.

In November, we will show our thanks by placing our lively orange-and-black yard signs all over town. Please join us; any amount you can give is welcome. We can’t do this without you.
