SPEF Summer Enrichment Programs registration will be open for enrollment on February 26, 2020. South Pasadena students can enjoy a robust assortment of enrichment opportunities that supplement the school year. As State budgets shrink and school districts must make difficult decisions to stop offering enrichment programs, SPEF helps support educational excellence with programs in visual and performing arts, sports, science, languages, and technology.
Each year, more than 2,000 students count on South Pasadena Educational Foundation’s Summer School program to brush up on basics, jump ahead on critical academic topics, expand their skills and ignite their imaginations. SPEF offers proficiency and enrichment classes to students of all ages – from incoming kindergartners to high school seniors.
SPEF partners with SPUSD teachers, coaches, and local organizations to offer a variety of week-long hands-on camps throughout Summer and at various times during the year.
Students can develop coding concepts at the Next Generation Coding Camp, explore their artistic side at SPEF’s Art Camp, or learn and further develop their skills in a sport. From Sports to Technology, or from Art to Science, SPEF Camps provide students in our community with a foundation of fundamental skills and knowledge and offer students the opportunity to develop teamwork, character, and leadership.
