Time Commitment and Responsibilities
You might be wondering about the time commitment and responsibilities of board members. Although participation varies by a board member’s availability, here’s a general baseline:
- One to two monthly meetings, each about one hour – a fantastic chance to collaborate and innovate with fellow members.
- Special meetings and receptions – enjoy about four engaging events per year.
- General Committee work – contribute 25-50 hours yearly to make a real difference.
As a board member, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into these impactful activities:
- Spread the word and energize the community during our Fall Fund Drive.
- Deliver and pick up yard signs – a hands-on experience to connect and engage, taking about 3 hours.
- Volunteer at our Summer Programs – enjoy a rewarding 3-hour shift.
- Support and participate in our vibrant events, including the much-anticipated Parti Gras.
