SPEF’s 5th Grade Musical
The Fifth Grade Musical is a South Pasadena tradition that brings together students from all three elementary schools. This fall, fifth-grade students will begin rehearsing the popular musical, Willy Wonka Jr., in preparation for performances at the South Pasadena High School Auditorium on Friday, February 1 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, February 2 at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 pm.
The 5th Grade Musical production is self-sustaining with all staff and expenses covered by ticket sales and student tuition for the program. It is made possible through the high-level of involvement from parent volunteers who handle everything from supervising rehearsals and designing posters to applying makeup and working backstage and props.
The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.
Registration opens on Wednesday, September 5 at 8 am. Click here to register.
